Maria Vergara, CPPM, CMBM, RMA Practice Manager

Maria Vergara brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration, physician practice management, clinical patient care, and human resources to Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine. As both a Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) and Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Maria offers a unique blend of operational expertise and hands-on clinical knowledge that enhances every aspect of the patient experience.

Known for her compassionate approach and dedication to excellence, Maria has built a reputation for creating meaningful relationships with patients, providers, and staff. Her ability to combine strong leadership with genuine empathy helps foster the personalized, hospitality-based care that defines Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine.

As Practice Manager, Maria oversees the practice’s daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care, team development, compliance, billing, human resources, and administrative processes. Her hands-on leadership style allows her to maintain the highest standards of efficiency while keeping patient needs at the center of every decision.

Throughout her career, Maria has developed extensive expertise in physician practice management, patient care coordination, medical assisting, healthcare operations, human resources, billing and coding, compliance, and workflow optimization. She has successfully led medical teams, managed multi-provider practices, implemented operational improvements, and developed systems that enhance both patient satisfaction and organizational performance.

Maria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and holds the designation of Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM). She also obtained her Certified Medical Business Management (CMBM) certification through Florida Atlantic University (FAU). As a Registered Medical Assistant, she understands the clinical side of healthcare and values delivering compassionate, patient-centered care at every touchpoint.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria is recognized for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others. She believes that knowledge is power and remains dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth in the ever-evolving healthcare field. Her passion for patient advocacy, operational excellence, and personalized service continues to make her an integral part of the Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine team.

Lauren Gross
Paramedic, Clinical Staff

With a unique blend of emergency medicine expertise and personalized wellness care, Lauren Gross brings more than 15 years of clinical experience to her work with patients. After earning a degree in Business Management from the University of Southern California and completing paramedic training through the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care, she spent over a decade serving as a 911 paramedic in San Bernardino, caring for patients during some of their most critical moments. Her extensive experience includes advanced management of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and other high-acuity medical emergencies, providing her with a deep understanding of human physiology and evidence-based patient care.

Throughout her career, Lauren has also focused on functional and integrative medicine, specializing in intravenous therapies and personalized wellness protocols. She is passionate about helping patients identify the treatments best aligned with their individual health goals, combining clinical precision with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. Lauren is passionate about integrating the rigor of conventional medicine with the emerging science of functional medicine, helping patients achieve optimal health through individualized, data-driven care that is both comprehensive and forward-thinking. Lauren holds National Registry Paramedic certification and maintains advanced credentials in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation, reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care.
