DR. JANA MCKENZIE
ABOUT
Jana McKenzie, MD is a board-certified internist and owner of Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine with a passion for ensuring patients get the attention and care they deserve. Traditional medical offices have a number of doctors on staff, no personal relationship with patients, and only minutes to visit with you. This type of practice was not why Dr. McKenzie became an internist. Her belief is that the patient and their care should always be the priority.
Jana McKenzie, MD was in the top 5% of her class of the University of Michigan. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College, and graduated at the top 10% of her class there as well. She remains a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Dr. McKenzie trained at the University of Alabama Medical Center and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio.
Prior to opening Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine, Dr. McKenzie has worked in many different practice situations.
Dr. McKenzie firmly believes that patient care should be a physician’s first priority. Feeling constrained by a system that no longer encourages doctors to take the time to connect with their patients, she founded Coastal Concierge Internal Medicine. Her practice has been specifically designed to provide patients with a highly personalized approach to their healthcare. This approach allows her to take the time to connect with patients, fully understand their concerns, and develop trusting relationships.
